Have you received a phone call from an in-flight supervisor telling you that they want to meet with you?

Before you commit to any meeting or accept any verbal discipline know this. You have rights.

 

The right to have a co-worker or representative present when an employer brings a worker into a situation that could reasonably be construed as an investigatory interview regarding conduct that could implicate the worker and result in discipline against him/her. This rule applies to any worker interview which may reasonably be believed will give rise to discipline. This right is referred to as your WEINGARTEN RIGHTS

"If this discussion would lead in any way to my being disciplined or terminated or have any effect on my personal working conditions, I respectfully request that my Union Representative, Officer or Steward be present at this meeting. Do not make the mistake of believing that your personal relationship with any management group will protect you. It's not about friendship or personality. It is about making sure you are treated with respect and fairness when discipline is applied. It's about making sure that past practice has been acknowledged and applied regarding discipline for similar infractions.
